Forever Love is a Need
Let’s start by talking about the exits this week and what they could mean for future seasons. JJ’s speech after getting dumped on the two-on-one date was truly heartfelt, but I don’t think anyone can blame me for thinking about Clint the entire time he was talking. Rumor has it that they’ve kissed and made up, though probably not literally. I think they’d both be great on Bachelor in Paradise, and since you don’t really want one without the other, maybe that’ll open the door for some double dates or swing dates, if you will. Just throwing ideas out there, ABC!
Of all the guys that have left the show so far, I think Ben Z. is the best candidate for The Bachelor. He’s the textbook definition of handsome, was sent home with no ill will towards our fair Bachelorette, and has a gut-wrenching back story to boot. The show has also shown plenty of footage of him alone with Kaitlyn and the other guys so we’ve gotten to know him really well. Since Tanner’s exit interview wasn’t even shown, we can definitely count him out, and I hate to break it to you, Cupcake, but America doesn’t want a blubbering Bachelor. Even though his date card said “Let’s take our love to the edge,” I thought he was going to take his life to the edge…of that cliff!
Can’t Trust This
Is it just me, or was Kaitlyn almost getting mad at Shawn for needing so much reassurance? Since I like her so much, I’ll chalk it up to her anxiety over Nick possibly spilling the beans about their very early, very steamy, overnight date. Who can blame her when the guy is a known blabbermouth? If Shawn does survive Kaitlyn’s confession (which better be coming in the next episode because I sooooo thought it would be this week), he most likely won’t have to deal with Nick face-to-face anymore. Unless ABC really wants to get twisted, the Fantasy Suite dates will be one-on-ones and then hometowns after that. Aside from the time they’ll spend together before the next elimination, the rose ceremony following the Fantasy Suite dates, and maybe, just maybe, The Men Tell All or After the Final Rose, they won’t be forced to interact any further. Snoring and all, I still think she needs to be with Shawn, even just for one night!
I’d Hit That
And by that, I mean the curbs which Kaitlyn collided with on her drive to Killarney with Jared. Since Jared basically just became the first of the remaining men to have his second one-on-one date with Kaitlyn, I’d love to say that she will choose him, as well as Nick and Shawn to take to the Fantasy Suite (separately, of course), but who knows which of the guys will stick around after she tells them she had sex with Nick. In the promo for next week’s episode, we see Jared crying, Shawn blowing up at Nick, and hear Joe tell Kaitlyn he’s “done.” Not taking this bomb-dropping into account, I would predict that Ben H. and Joe will go home next, but I also thought Ben Z. would outlast Cupcake. Also in the promos, we only see Nick and Shawn at the rose ceremony, but Shawn stops her and pulls her aside to talk. Perhaps Shawn is the only man will forgive her (aside from Nick, who doesn’t have much reason to be angry) and she’ll only have the two of them to take to the Fantasy Suite.
Speaking of the Fantasy Suite, how will the show handle that since Kaitlyn and her suitors will be staying in Ireland? Are they going to another city? Will Kaitlyn take each of the men to her castle and get down and dirty with them in the same bed? Is ABC running out of money to send these reality stars to multiple foreign countries? In the clip of next week’s rose ceremony, Kaitlyn appears to be wearing the same dress that she wore on her underwater date with Clint. Also, where will the remaining two men meet Kaitlyn’s family and where will the final rose ceremony take place? I don’t like all this change!
What did you think of this week’s episode? Will Kaitlyn finally come clean next week? Which of the men will forgive her? Will she have anyone left to send home during the rose ceremony? Let’s discuss in the comments below!
