Was I right about Nick or what? Did you honestly think it was anyone else? As slowly as this season is dragging on, I really hope she just sends everyone home and chooses to be with either Nick or Shawn. Jared might have a shot, since he’s basically had two awesome one-on-ones with Kaitlyn already, but their relationship lacks the passion that she has with Nick and the depth that she has with Shawn. However, once she tells the men about her “suite” encounter, anyone who is still left standing could get the final rose.

About halfway through the group date I realized that there wouldn’t be enough time in the episode to watch Kaitlyn’s two-on-one date with Joe and JJ, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they completely gloss over it in light of the Nick situation, similar to how they paid tribute to Eric Hill on Andi’s season and didn’t show the rose ceremony that week. Either way, they’re both going home eventually since everyone knows that the contestants chosen for the two-on-ones never make it very far. The only exception was the Ashley vs. Ashley date on Brad Womack’s second season, in which Hebert, the more successful Ashley, made it to the fantasy suite and then became the next Bachelorette!

Speaking of the next, I would be remiss if I didn’t call Ian out on his crap. He keeps going on and on about how he’s be such a great Bachelor because he’s so deep and went to Princeton, then he starts complaining about how much he needs to get laid. Who’s shallow and surface-level now? Well, I guess he and Kaitlyn both are, since we heard her getting lucky about two minutes later.

Oh, Shawn. This is the exact reason for the unwritten rule that the Bachelor or Bachelorette cannot drop the L-bomb before the final rose ceremony. Sure, she’s said so many times with her group of guys that she’s falling in love, but to say it in a one-on-one setting and then sleep with another suitor is like a knife to the heart. I will be absolutely shocked if Shawn forgives Kaitlyn for this, which is terrible because her other options aren’t that great. Like I said earlier, she might be happy with Nick or Jared, but the other men are just cannon fodder at this point.

What did you think of this week’s episode? How will the guys react to Kaitlyn’s confession? Will any of them choose to leave? Let’s discuss in the comments below!
