Revenge Season 4 Episode 16 “Loss” Review; I Throw Blood Samples in the Air Sometimes

YOU get your name cleared, and YOU get your name cleared, everybody gets their name CLEARED! Revenge was definitely channeling Oprah this week with their crusade to have Jack’s DUI charges dropped amid Margaux’s battle to have Daniel sainted. In a turn of events, it was the judge at the helm of Jack’s case who ended up being dirty and Margaux was blindsided by a cab in the best “Oh snap!” moment of the night.

I was pretty disappointed in Nolan’s remark about “no other camera angles” until Emily busted Judge Knowles. With so many wine bottles and shot glasses around, I fully expected our favorite computer whiz to zoom in, enhance the image, and get a reflection of James spiking Jack’s drink. Fortunately, they still have a man on the force, and Ben helped them takedown Knowles in one of the coolest busts I think we’ve seen on the show yet. Sadly, Nolan and Louise are still lying to him about what really happened to Lyman. Did anyone else think she was making a blood smoothie the morning after his fall?

You Know I Prefer Firemen

How many viewers pictured Brian Hallisay climbing a ladder alongside Taylor Kinney and Jesse Spencer on Tuesday nights? I know I did! Love me some Chicago Fire. That brings me to my next sad point: Ben might become a detective in an upcoming episode and lose the uniform forever. Here’s to hoping he gets a medal in the near future so we can see him in his dress blues! While we didn’t see any lip locking between Emily and Officer Hunter this week, I was really hoping for Nolan and Louise to finally kiss. I know they’re basically each other’s beards,  but he’s swung that way before! Luckily, IMDb only lists Tony Hughes (Josh Pence) as appearing in this week’s episode…so far. Maybe I’ll get my wish!

I’m a Pusher, Cady

Between women getting hit by yellow vehicles and our heroine being accused of pushing said woman, I had to make a Mean Girls joke in there somewhere. In all honesty, neither Margaux nor Lyman was pushed to their death. I know, Margaux is still alive, but we can’t say the same for Daniel Jr. At least that’s what I’m assuming she would have named the giant lima bean (see the ultrasound photo) were it a boy. I kind of felt sorry for Margaux when she told Victoria that she lost the baby, but maybe it’s a good thing for Emily not to have a hormonal enemy behind her own red sharpie. Then again, a mother that’s lost a child might prove to be a more fierce foe than a pregnant woman. Luckily, she got her birth certificate back!

What did you think of this week’s episode? Will Louise’s guilt over Lyman’s death get the best of her? Will she and Nolan ever hook up? What about Stevie and David?! Is Emily going down for Margaux’s “accident?” Let’s discuss in the comments below!
