So our favorite show has officially been cancelled and next Sunday we’ll have to say goodbye. Thankfully, the penultimate episode was much more riveting than last week’s, so let’s dive in!
Victoria is Alive…
But for how much longer? As most of you know, I watched the promo for the finale before sitting down to write my article and there’s a lot to be excited (or upset) about. We see Amanda pointing a gun at Victoria, Jack in the hospital, White Gold stabbing Nolan in the hand, and Jack and Amanda finally making love. Since the finale is titled ‘Two Graves,’ I think it’s safe to assume that two characters die and my money is on Amanda and Victoria. Obviously Jack and David could potentially meet their maker and Ben was taken out by White Gold this week, but the two most central characters would be the best fit to pass away in the finale.
One Clarke at a Time
With one episode to go, things aren’t looking so great for Papa Clarke. The last we saw of him was when he collapsed while visiting Amanda in jail. Stevie was nowhere to be found this week but she’s slated to appear in the finale. Since Tom Amandes, who played Emily VanCamp’s father on Everwood, was cast as Amanda’s lawyer, we can hope that Stevie won’t be returning to the Hamptons on business. Between Amanda escaping prison, hooking up with her man, and finding Victoria, there’s not a whole lot of time for Stevie and David to get together but my fingers are still crossed! With any luck, Jack will make it out of intensive care, but it’s very likely that he’ll lose yet another Amanda. Poor guy just can’t catch a break, can he?
In a shocking turn of events, we discovered that Margaux was in on the murder scheme all along. As we already knew, Louise has major trust issues but this week we were reminded that her issue is trusting too easily. Nolan was definitely right about Victoria being manipulative, which I think can also be said about Margaux after seeing her turn Louise’s doubt around but I don’t know why he said that Louise was loyal. She’s the biggest turncoat on this show! First she’s all about Victoria and Daniel, then she switches over to Team Revenge until she hears Nolan gossiping about her to Jack, which placed her right back into Victoria’s hands. I don’t want to waste too much time talking about such an insignificant character, but I just thought that was ridiculous.
What did you think of this week’s episode? Will any characters die in the finale? Are you ready to say goodbye? Let’s discuss in the comments below!
