Only You Can Pull Yourself Out

Or maybe finding out that your mom killed your sister’s one true love can do it for you. That was the case with Charlotte this week, deciding to go to rehab after Emily tells her that Victoria murdered Aiden, but not before telling Daniel about Emily’s identity. Now there are only three characters (Ben, Margaux, and Louise) that have no idea that Amanda Clarke is still alive, though Ben is the only one who would be somewhat impacted by the news.

However, the need to call her big sister after killing a man in self-defense was completely unnecessary, other than to provide an opportunity to tell Charlotte the truth about Aiden’s death. It would have been pretty clear that Vince was attacking her, enough to involve the police. Maybe Charlotte wanted to avoid being caught with drugs, but they called the police anyways after staging Vince’s overdose/accidental death. The real question is, why did she change back into her mirror ball trophy dress? Was she really expecting Emily to do all the work by herself?

The Truth is Anything But

I’m not counting David among the three characters in the dark because he had to suspect something when he broke into Grayson Manor to kill Emily and stopped in his tracks upon seeing her face. My guess is that he either assumes that Nolan knows nothing and did steal from Amanda, or he thinks that accusing Nolan of withholding Amanda’s inheritance will get him to tell the truth about Emily. Making those accusations on national television seems counterproductive to me though, since Nolan is more likely to spill the beans in private.

On the other hand, it’s probably for the best that David and Emily haven’t met up yet, or else Emily wouldn’t have looked into David’s fake prison and learned that he was lying about being tortured by Conrad. So if he hasn’t been held captive for the last decade, what has he been up to since he broke free? Well, besides lying in wait for the perfect moment to murder Conrad…

Like Emily and Nolan, this week Jack joined the ranks of characters that suddenly mistrust David when he decided to help Ben investigate Conrad’s murder. Whether he’ll tell Ben the significance of the double infinity he found in Mostrowski’s garage (see photo for Ben’s hilarious squinty face) has yet to be determined, because if Ben is smart enough to connect the dots with Conrad’s killer, his detective’s intuition will lead him to question the tattoo on Emily’s wrist. Maybe the ambitious beat cop wouldn’t be such a terrible asset to Team Revenge though. He’d definitely be the most handsome of the bunch!

What did you think of this week’s episode? Will Ben find Conrad’s killer and make detective? Will David finally learn the truth about Amanda? Let’s discuss in the comments below!
